I never felt called to consume the placenta that grew to nourish my Ezekiel, when we were ready to consciously conceive our second love we had a ceremony thanking his placenta and buried it under a blueberry bush in our backyard.
As a traditional birth attendant I have never recommended my clients to consume their placenta - I would however use it’s incredible and potent medicine if they had haemorrhaged. I would simply cut a small piece of amniotic sac and place inside the Mother’s cheek to help signal to the hormones needed, to stop the bleeding. There would be no consumption though.
Again thank you for sharing your truth & the truth ❤️🕊️
