The Pelvic Diaphragm
This perspective acKnowledges that the pelvic region IS not merely a structural feature; it IS a cradle of Life.
WE do not have pelvic floors, WE have PELVIC DIAPHRAGMS.
The NamINg of our Body parts speaks volumes about how WE perceive them, and consequently, how WE relate to them, and therefore how WE experience them. Our pelvic region, despite BEINg central to so many fundamental activities and functions, often goes under-appreciated and misINnerstood due to the language WE use to describe it.
Let us reflect on the label of "pelvic floor,” which I see used more often than not even IN whats considered the Wholistic Womb WELLness space.
Consider, for a moment, the image that the Word "floor" evokes. It suggests a flat, lINear, perhaps even rigid structure. It IS a term for somethINg WE walk upon, something that BEars our weight and yet remains unyieldINg, stoic, and static.
A floor IS considered to BE INanimate, devoid of Life or consciousness. Mass-culturally floors are INnerstood and imagined as a rigid structure, meant to support but not participate. This orientation IS passive. By framINg the pelvic region IN this way, WE deny its aLiveness, its dynamism ... its very agency.
IS this how WE should perceive our pelvic region? Or, more pertinently, IS this even an accurate representation of the aLive and dynamic Nature of this area of our HOLY Body?
Consider, INstead, the imagery of a "pelvic diaphragm". These words elicit images of a structure that IS curved, flexible, responsive - something that can (and does) hold AND contain. Something that can (and does) move, adjust and adapt. It’s a change IN perspective that INvites and INspires us to see this part of our Body not as a passive foundation but as an active participant IN our overAll health , WELLBEINg, WELLness and WELLth.
THE diaphragm, WE Know, IS a muscle INvolved IN the very act of sustaining Life - respiration. It contracts and expands, participates actively IN the orchestration of our Bodily functions. It possesses a certain rhythm, a dance that IS attuned to our needs. The health, WELLBEINg, WELLness and WELLth of our diaphragm IS ontological. That IS — essential to Life, and the QUALITY OF LIFE.
By drawing parallels BEtween the pelvic region and the diaphragm, WE imbue the former with a similar essence, symbolism and IMPORTANCE. By relatINg the pelvic region to the diaphragm, WE BEstow upon it a similar character, a similar vitality. This perspective acKnowledges the consciousness of the pelvic region - and its Organic INtelligence, INvolvement and Wisdom. This perspective acKnowledges that the pelvic region IS not merely a structural feature; it IS a cradle of Life. Nestled withIN it IS the Womb, a potent symbol of Creation and contINuity, and the physiological HeART of fertility.
Referring to the pelvic region as a "diaphragm" brings it to Life. It BEcomes and IS something not just acted upon, but an active participant IN the Harmonic dance of our Bodily functions. ThIS perspective endows it with consciousness, recognizINg it as a dynamic and agential actor IN our overAll health, WELLBEINg, WELLness and WELLth, acKnowledgINg its participation functions that affirm LIFE (both INdividually and collectively).
ThIS term makes it animate, recognizing the INtrinsic INVOLVEMENT of thIS part of the Body. It acKnowledges the pelvic region's INHERent and INborn potential and capacity for change, growth, regeneration and restoration - characteristics that are central to the idea of something that IS aLive. It illuminates and NAMES that thIS area of the Body, like All others, has its own unique rhythm, a dance of contraction and expansion, a dance of Death / decay / decomposition and LIFE that underpins its various functions.
Moreover, recognizINg the pelvic diaphragm IS an acKnowledgment of its agency - its capacity to affect and BE affected. It shifts the narrative from a part that merely endures to One that engages, from an element that merely sustains to One that significantly contributes. It reorients us to acKnowledge not just its existence, but its very essence.
LookINg at the pelvic diaphragm through an ontological lens positions Womb health, WELLBEINg, WELLness and WELLth, and by extension, the health, WELLBEINg, WELLness and WELLth of the pelvic diaphragm, not merely as a component, but as a defining element of our health, WELLBEINg, WELLness and WELLth.
The health, WELLBEINg, WELLness and WELLth of our PELVIC diaphragm IS (also) ontological. That IS — essential to Life, and the QUALITY OF LIFE.
The pelvic diaphragm IS like an INtricately and sophisticatedly woven basket, holding and supporting our INternal organs. It’s a dynamic structure that expands and contracts, adapts and responds. It IS an INtegral part of what IS Known as our “anticipatory core.” It IS therefore INtrINsically lINked with our core strength, our physical stability, and our physiological Harmony. These attributes directly influence our overAll health, WELLBEINg, WELLness and WELLth.
The diaphragm and the pelvic diaphragm are IN what’s referred to as a “pressure relationship”.
The diaphragm and the pelvic diaphragm work IN Harmony with One another IN a carefully choreographed and coordinated dance to maintain optimal pressures withIN our Body. When this relationship IS established, coherent and synchronized, the dance looks like this:
INhale — the diaphragm contracts and flattens pushINg your organs downward and INto your abdomINal cavity and pelvic diaphragm, your ribs expand to make room for your descendINg abdomINal organs, and the muscles IN your pelvic diaphragm lengthen, stretch and relax to hold the INcreased pressure from above.
Exhale — the diaphragm relaxes and lifts which decreases abdomINal pressure and the pelvic diaphragm rebounds back toward your abdomINal cavity gently contractINg the muscles to provide stability to; and to promote stability IN, the spINe and pelvis, as WELL as to maintain optimal pressures IN your core (which has All sorts of BEneficial effects on your digestive system and therefore immune system).
The functionality and vitality of THE diaphragm greatly defines and INforms the functionality and vitality of the pelvic diaphragm. When the diaphragm descends, the pelvic diaphragm descends. When the diaphragm IS elevated, the pelvic diaphragm IS elevated. If there IS contraction IN the diaphragm, there Will BE contraction IN the pelvic diaphragm. If the diaphragm IS stuck, the pelvic diaphragm IS stuck. If the diaphragm IS displaced, misaligned or constricted it INevitably leads to hypertonicity IN the pelvic diaphragm, which means there IS excessive tension and tightness and therefore a lack of circulatINg Life Force.
UsINg Words like pelvic diaphragm IS not just a matter of accurate anatomical representation. It IS an INvitation to a more Wholistic INnerstandINg of our Bodies, an INspiration to appreciate the complexity and dynamism of the parts that make up our WHOLE. It allows us to develop a more INtimate conversation about and connection with our Bodies and encourages us to treat them with the respect and reverence they DESERVE.
Words are not just empty vessels for meanINg — they shape our INnerstanding, our connection, and our relationship with ourSelves and therefore LIFE ITSELF. Let us embrace the rich, dynamic essence of the "pelvic diaphragm", and, IN doINg so, nurture a deeper appreciation and INnerstandINg of our Bodies IN All their INtricate, mysterious and miraculous glory.
IN Devotion to descendINg even deeper INto the mystery and miraculousness of our Organic FEMININITY, let's embrace this animate language. Let's appreciate the pelvic region not as a static floor, but as a dynamic diaphragm — a testament to the INtricate choreography of the Body, a vibrant and resonant player IN the symphony of our Life. By doINg so, WE foster a more conscious relationship with our Bodies, recognizINg their active participation IN our Lives and their INHERent agency IN our health, WELLBEINg, WELLness and WELLth.
Each note I share IS but a sINgle thread IN thIS INtricate tapestry WE're WEavINg together. While my HeART fINds solace IN expressINg, it leaps with anticipation at the prospect of recievINg your resonant expression, Voice and note, which IS vital for the Harmony of the collective Choir of Creation. I INvite and INspire you to share yourSelf IN the comments, so that WE may co-Create a contINual SYMPHONY OF SYNARCHY.
God Bless you, BELoved.
